App events and a webview
An app stream uses screen views and an app instance id. A page inside the app only sees that id if the app puts it on the URL.
App stream, then a webview
A GA4 app stream records screen_view, not page_view. The id is an app instance id, not the web _ga client id. A webview is a browser inside the app. Its cookies are not the app’s storage. If the app puts the instance id on the URL, the page can read it. If it does not, the web hit is a new visitor. This phone is simulated. No Firebase SDK is loaded.
